About the job
As Head of Enterprise Architecture, you define, lead and evolve the development and execution of our architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term digital initiatives. You work closely with business and IT leaders to ensure our technology landscape is cohesive, future-ready, and aligned with Sandvik’s strategic goals. You lead a team of skilled architects and play a key role in evaluating emerging technologies, setting standards, and driving digital transformation across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities:
Mentor and lead a team of enterprise architects.
Partner with business IT leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into scalable technology solutions.
Evaluate, select, and guide the adoption of emerging technologies to support innovation, agility, and competitive advantage.
Establish and enforce architecture standards, design principles, and governance practices across the IT organization.
Conduct regular maturity assessments of current architectures to identify optimization opportunities and legacy modernization paths.
Facilitate effective communication and alignment between IT teams.
Oversee the development of roadmaps, blueprints, and architectural models that guide system evolution.
Monitor industry trends, regulations, and technology shifts to proactively adapt the architecture roadmap.
Provide regular reporting and strategic guidance to senior IT and business leadership.

The location for this position is either Stockholm or Sandviken and you report to the Chief Information Officer.
Your character
You have a strong background in IT architecture and leadership, including a couple of years in a senior leadership or enterprise architecture role. You have knowledge of frameworks, like TOGAF or Gartner, and modeling techniques. You understand how to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and have experience leading large-scale digital transformations. Your expertise spans cloud architecture (especially Azure), data governance, API integration, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities
As an Enterprise Information Architect, you will ensure that key enterprise information, both structured and unstructured, is defined, governed and managed properly within SMT globally, so that information of the right quality is available whenever needed. You will also be accountable for the management of SMT common information within the areas of IT and Enterprise Architecture including common repositories and related best practices. 

Main responsibilities: 
Set strategies and roadmaps within the information architecture domain 
Develop and manage information models/structures, data models and activity diagrams at an overall enterprise level 
Act as a link between business, development and suppliers by translating needs into requirements for systems and applications 
Support other teams in information- and process modeling 
Translate legacy information models as input to new system solutions 
Communicate enterprise architecture, BI and master data to various stakeholders within the company

Qualifications
We believe that you have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or you could have years of practical experience in IT work in the above mentioned area.

To be successful in this role you have experience and knowledge in: 
Design and develop process / information models 
Analyze demands/requirements from both business and IT and transforming them into models and processes 
Workshop management

Experience of standards in the field of architecture (Astrakan, TOGAF, ITIL, etc.) 
Qualifying if there is experience of BI solutions, ERP systems and data analysis

Responsibilities
Let’s talk about your mission
As Enterprise Architect, you are accountable for safeguarding that target architecture and IT systems are aligned with business objectives and strategy, both short and long term. You will ensure that future architecture of the IT landscape supports business development plans and comply with general regulatory constraints. Focus is on the holistic view of business information and processes, used by systems and technology. 

As Enterprise Architect, you will actively participate in the governance of portfolios, e.g. projects, services, products and applications. Some of the primary tasks are to develop and maintain target architecture and transition plans, provide architectural guidance to stakeholders and projects. Moreover, having strategic business dialogs with senior management for understanding business strategy, objectives and needs, is part of your accountabilities. You will identify architectural gaps and overlaps, for which is further addressed to responsible roles and forums. One of your main task is to improve architectural methods and frameworks if needed. In addition, you will identify gaps and conflicts in domain guidance, service design and roadmaps, and propose resolutions to relevant authorities. You will perform architectural outline reviews and monitor the result of other architectural reviews. Providing architectural leadership and supporting projects, by evaluating IT-solutions from an IT and business strategy perspective, is part of your daily work.



Qualifications
And what about you?
You are expected to hold a Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. And/or many years of practical experience in IT work in the above-mentioned industry. You have excellent communication skills and knowledge to communicate clearly with both business and IT stakeholders in all levels. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written. It is important that you have a broad and deep understanding and knowledge about the concept of EA- including knowledge of standards and methods like TOGAF, ITIL, ISA-95, SCOR etc. 
You are service minded and show a great sense of customer services. As a person, you also have a strong drive to achieve objectives and have good influencing and an informal leadership. You have good analytical skills and ability to shift between overall and detailed perspectives.

Let’s talk about your mission
As Enterprise Architect, you are accountable for safeguarding that target architecture and IT systems are aligned with business objectives and strategy, both short and long term. You will ensure that future architecture of the IT landscape supports business development plans and comply with general regulatory constraints. Focus is on the holistic view of business information and processes, used by systems and technology. 

As Enterprise Architect, you will actively participate in the governance of portfolios, e.g. projects, services, products and applications. Some of the primary tasks are to develop and maintain target architecture and transition plans, provide architectural guidance to stakeholders and projects. Moreover, having strategic business dialogs with senior management for understanding business strategy, objectives and needs, is part of your accountabilities. You will identify architectural gaps and overlaps, for which is further addressed to responsible roles and forums. One of your main task is to improve architectural methods and frameworks if needed. In addition, you will identify gaps and conflicts in domain guidance, service design and roadmaps, and propose resolutions to relevant authorities. You will perform architectural outline reviews and monitor the result of other architectural reviews. Providing architectural leadership and supporting projects, by evaluating IT-solutions from an IT and business strategy perspective, is part of your daily work.



Qualifications
And what about you?
You are expected to hold a Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. And/or many years of practical experience in IT work in the above-mentioned industry. You have excellent communication skills and knowledge to communicate clearly with both business and IT stakeholders in all levels. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written. It is important that you have a broad and deep understanding and knowledge about the concept of EA- including knowledge of standards and methods like TOGAF, ITIL, ISA-95, SCOR etc. 
You are service minded and show a great sense of customer services. As a person, you also have a strong drive to achieve objectives and have good influencing and an informal leadership. You have good analytical skills and ability to shift between overall and detailed perspectives.
