About your job
In this position, you identify, develop and utilize experimental and numerical methods within Down-The-Hole (DTH) rock drilling applications, which is an important factor for us to stay successful in our product development. You use FEM simulations – such as stress wave analysis, non-linear dynamic analysis, fatigue and structural optimization. By supporting our design engineers, you help to solve complex problems within and related to impact dynamics and in detailed design challenges.
We operate in a complex setting with many interfaces, where strong collaboration is central, and you collaborate with our product facility on the premises to improve many of our production processes. For us, this means sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, inspiring others and showing true team spirit. You make sure to keep all our stakeholders in the loop, and not to forget, close interactions with both local and global R&D teams.
The location for this position is Sandviken and some planned travel may occur.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a M.Sc. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics or another similar area. You have several years of industry experience where you preferably worked with numerical methods such as FEM or CFD, and you can easily adapt and focus between short- and long-term activities. You have an enthusiastic attitude to search novel solutions and new methods, as well as the patience to focus on details when needed while promoting long-term knowledge evolution. It’s advantageous with knowledge of rock drilling applications. Acting in our global environment, you also need to communicate fluently in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
You have a curious and analytical mind, and you thrive when you get to solve a proper problem by trying out different solutions – aiming for the highest quality and the best end result. Some words about your new team
At Rock Tools, part of the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business area, our Top Hammer (TH) R&D unit enhances the business by providing product development, research and technical support. As the demands on our products become more and more challenging, we play an important role in ensuring increased performance and a market-leading position.
Your mission
In this position, you engage in development projects in close collaboration with stakeholders at our product units to find solutions that fulfill our customers’ needs. You’re responsible for developing and creating new products, and for maintenance of existing products within the Top Hammer product line – and you bring your valuable knowledge and expertise into our different projects and activities.
Another part of your assignment is initiating and following method development projects with laboratory tests and simulations. By getting to know our customers and scanning the market, you follow trends and development in this field. You support and collaborate closely with production in technical matters to make sure our products stay market leading, as well as supporting marketing departments, subsidiary and sales companies.
You’re based at our site in Sandviken, Sweden.
Your profile
We’re looking for an engineer with a background in product development, who’s been working with CAD, PDM and FEM on a daily basis. Preferably, you have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and an interest in areas such as tribology, materials and manufacturing. As we’re a global business, you need excellent skills in English. Swedish language skills are a plus.

About your job
In this position, you’re part of a small, yet global, team of product specialists in different given areas. You work with our rotary and down-the-hole drill strings product account, taking responsibility for the current product engineering, new product development and research technology development projects. Interacting with many stakeholders is a natural part of your job, as you’re creating prototypes, testing and doing experiments. You also work closely with the R&D department on specific projects and issues – sharing knowledge and exchanging experience to reach best practice.

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in mechanical engineering, in addition to a few years of relevant work experience in product development, manufacturing and application area. You have good knowledge in design engineering fundamentals, as well as material and manufacturing processes where you’ve been involved in making drill string tool products. You’re skilled in CAD and comfortable working with Siemens NX and Team Center. Familiarity with simulation analysis and project management is beneficial. About your job
In this position, you’re responsible for your department – including deliveries, our prototyping workshops and testing laboratories, as well as for driving the development of our processes and ways of working. You achieve this by assuring development of prototyping, measuring and testing methods in all aspects – from resources, leaders and technical experts to technology and product development. We’re looking for an exceptional and experienced leader with a couple of years’ background in a similar role within R&D or Production, preferably in a larger international company. Experience from leading both white- and blue-collar personnel is a must. You have a proven ability to develop and execute strategical, tactical and operative plans, achieving this through efficient decision making, stakeholder management and communication. Experience from metal cutting production, production technology or laboratory environments is highly beneficial, as well as from working with digitalization of different processes. Som utvecklingsingenjör inom området oförstörande provning (OFP) arbetar du nära våra kunder och med hjälp av din arbetsgrupp stödjer du produktionen i frågor och problem relaterade till oförstörande provning och mätteknik.


Vanligt förekommande arbetsuppgifter:
Teknisk problemlösning, utveckling av mätteknik / metoder
Kvalitétsutveckling, kalibrering och validering av OFP-mätsystem och mätdon
Tekniskt marknadsstöd
Utredning av investeringsbehov och driftsättning av instrument och system
Analys av process och produktdata



För att genomföra nödvändiga tester på våra produkter använder vi en rad olika metoder och mätinstrument inom OFP såsom ultraljudprovning, virvelströmsprovning, samt ett flertal andra mättekniker, I rollen ingår också att göra omvärldsanalyser för att säkerställa att vi följer marknadstrender och håller dig uppdaterad om nya tekniker som stödjer FoU:s produktutveckling mot nya material och applikationer.


Din Profil


Vi söker dig som är utbildad civil-/högskoleingenjör inom med för tjänsten relevant utbildning, exempelvis maskin- och materialteknik, gärna med kunskap inom elektronik, mätteknik och/eller IT. Har du tidigare arbetat med liknande arbetsuppgifter inom stålindustrin eller annan tillverkande industri ses det som meriterande. Vi är en global funktion som är placerade i Sandviken och stödjer Alleimas produktionsenheter runtom i världen med kompetens inom vårt teknikområde; oförstörande provning av våra produkter, mätteknik i olika former samt datainsamling / analys. About the job
As Global Change Leader, you’re responsible for executing the vision and strategy within both the Lean/ Production System and our Digital Transformation within all Supply globally. You’re a positive force of nature with a hands-on approach, and by being comfortable in a production environment, you have solid understanding for their daily work – and for how this can be improved by the tools you provide. This allows you to create a high level of trust and engagement when coaching colleagues during the implementation; building their capability to deliver further training to employees.


By taking an active part in the actual content setup of our Digital Transformation toolbox, you have a unique possibility to shape the future of our production and aiding our sites in finding tools that suit their business perfectly. As you’re a part of a global team consisting of program leaders, it’s important that you can adapt your skills and knowledge into different areas within supply.


This position is preferably located in Sandviken, while a flexible location is an option for the right candidate. Global travel is normally included in your job, although due to the pandemic situation, we’re currently even more digital than usual in our ways of working.


About you
It’s important that you have experience from working close to production to genuinely understand their challenges and possibilities, and you combine this with strong skills in change management and indirect leadership. In addition, it’s beneficial with experience from either purchasing or logistics. You also hold a M.Sc. in Engineering or Data Science, or the equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. Since we act in a global setting, you need fluent skills in both written and verbal English, while skills in Swedish are nice to have.

About the job
In this position, you drive and lead customer projects – from customer contact to manufactured and validated products. In close collaboration with our sales team, you specify new products according to customer requirements. In other words, you translate a customer demand into product solutions. Your material and AM process know-how enables you to optimize performance, cost and quality of new products. You enjoy being on the shop floor to plan and prioritize our production according to customer demand.
This role is based at our AM Service Center in Sandviken, Sweden.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a relevant engineering or material science degree, together with several years of experience in additive manufacturing and of working in a production environment. Being skilled in the field, you have previously been involved in customer projects, project management and have worked with Product and Print Process Development. Working in an international setting as this one calls for adequate skills in the English language, while knowing Swedish is a plus.
With clear ambitions, you know how to drive and lead projects in the most efficient way possible – especially when it comes to service-oriented approaches. While working with both internal and external stakeholders, you have a commercial awareness and being service minded comes naturally to you. You also line your work in methods of strategical and analytical significance – in other words, you’re structured and an effective planner.

Om tjänsten
Som hållbarhetsingenjör ansvarar du för att koordinera och vara pådrivande i Strip divisionens hållbarhetsarbetsarbete. Du planerar och utför arbete på både strategisk och operativ nivå och ser till att hålla organisationen uppdaterad inom området. Du arbetar verksamhetsnära och följer upp uppsatta mål och nyckeltal och ansvarar kontinuerligt för att driva förbättringsarbetet inom området. I nära samarbete med försäljningsorganisationen skapar ni säljmaterial med hållbarhet i fokus och driver projekt både internt och i direkt interaktion med kunder. Att göra livscykelanalyser för våra produkter kommer att vara säljande och är en av arbetsuppgifterna. Du ansvarar även för att säkerställa och intyga att produkter lever upp till säkerhetskrav och hanterar inkommande kundfrågor gällande detta.

Om dig
Vi ser att du har universitets- eller högskoleutbildning, gärna inom kemi, material- eller kvalitetsteknik och brinner för hållbarhet. Du har förståelse och kunskap för standarder och metoder inom hållbarhet, och meriterande är om du har praktisk erfarenhet av att arbeta med ledningssystem samt förmåga att tolka och applicera regelverk, såsom direktiv, förordningar och standarder, inom produktsäkerhetsområdet. Du talar och skriver obehindrat på svenska och engelska och gillar att arbeta med stora numeriska modeller.

PU Special Metals är beläget på Västra Verken i Sandviken.


PU Special Metals är nu inne i en intensiv produktutvecklingsperiod och söker därför en utvecklingsingenjör som vill vara med och utveckla PU Special Metals framtida produkter.


Befattningen är placerad i Teknikavdelningen inom PU Special Metals och består av fem medarbetare som arbetar med produkt, processutveckling, investeringar och teknikstöd. Din profil
Vi söker dig med högskoleutbildning inom teknik med materialinriktning. Du har ett par års erfarenhet inom tillverkande industri eller produktion och har du tidigare arbetat med projekt eller process- och produktutveckling inom rörtillverkning är det ett stort plus. För att passa bra in i rollen har du goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, i både tal och skrift.
