In Sandviken and Forsbacka IPCO produces steel belts for customers endless continual use in process machinery producing food such as bread and chocolate, chemical films and pastilles, and wood fiber boards such as MDF and flooring. The production of steel belts is made in our own designed machinery and processes for our purpose and reaching the specific high demand for quality and productivity belts. Manufactuing processes involve levelling, welding, heat treatment, machining, grinding. During manufacturing, key characteristics are set into products that are crucial for continuous performance at customer site.
About the role
As a Quality Engineer you will take on a key role in IPCO’s quality and customer care operations. You will manage customer cases and claims, coordinate interventions, and drive and secure corrective and preventive actions that ensure long-term improvements. The position involves close collaboration with production, global service, R&D, material lab and sales, to make sure that our processes and products consistently exceed expectations. A crucial part of the role is also maintaining and developing our ISO certification, safeguarding IPCO’s high standards in demanding global markets. As a team member, you are also a part of other work tasks within safety, work environment, quality, sustainability and environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Manage customer complaints from receipt through to resolution.
Conduct root cause analysis with organization and implement structured corrective and preventive actions according to quality methods such as DMAIC, 8D, 4Q, etc.
Collaborate with production, global service, R&D, material lab and sales organization to integrate quality into every stage of the value chain.
Monitor and analyze quality data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvements.
Provide training and guidance to colleagues to strengthen quality awareness and performance across the organization.
Prepare quality reports and maintain documentation in line with corporate standards.
Participate in internal and external audits to secure compliance according to ISO standards.


Your Profile
You have a technical degree or equivalent engineering background and bring solid experience in quality management from an industrial or manufacturing environment. You know how to work with established quality tools and methods such as DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, SPC, and you have hands-on experience of management systems and standards, especially ISO 9001.

Machine design and mechanical construction.
Materials science and material properties.
Measurement technology and calibration.
ERP system M3, SharePoint.
Proficiency in German, spoken and written.

About You:

We require a relevant university degree and several years of experience in property development, construction project management, site management, maintenance planning, or similar fields. Having expertise in multiple domains, such as automation, control and regulation technology, electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, security, ventilation, BAS-P, and BAS-U, can be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of Contract Law (AB04 & ABT06), previous experience in the industry, and experience in procuring and negotiating for larger construction projects and contract management are also highly desirable. About the job

We are looking for a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our engineering team in a global service function. Your primary role is to provide design and calculation expertise to our global customers. You will also contribute to product development, business and work methodology. As a Senior Design Engineer you work closely with sales, markets, and the global service organization . Therefore business trips are required according to customer projects and internal business trips. You will be a part of the entire product chain, from idea, design, and dialogue with stakeholders to launch and train sales people in the final product and solution.

About you

To be successful in this role, you should have several years of experience in mechanical design work and/or product development. We believe you have a Master´s or Bachelor´s degree in mechanical engineering, or other relevant field, or have acquired the correct skillset through work life experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized knowledge in mechanical design, developing and improving products and work methodology. Good knowledge in 3D-modeling is required, but experience from method development within Autodesk Inventor and Vault are considered a merit. You will collaborate effectively with team members and translate customer needs into concrete solutions. You should be a good team player with a structured and agile way of working. You should have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English and the ability to work on projects and experience from project management is an advantage.
